Tudor Pin Found

A very feint, weak signal, I decided to dig on the off chance it could be a non ferrous item, and I found this at about 10 inches deep. At the time, I thought it may have been a Tudor button, but the shank isn’t correct.
The FLO identified it as a hair, dress, or hat pin, dating from 1500-1900. It’s likely to date from 1500-1600, but a later date can’t be dismissed.
The pin would have originally been silver wash, as can be seen by the last surviving bit of silver on the pin. The shaft would have been iron, and has long corroded away.
Whatever the case may be, it’s a very nice personal artefact, belonging to someone hundreds of years ago, who certainly will have been upset at its loss.
