ABOUT JOSH

Josh is an IRL (in real life) Streamer as a metal detectorist, who was born in Bristol, England, and has always been passionate about archaeology and history. He first started metal detecting at the age of 10 in 2009 after receiving a detector as a gift, but soon lost interest after clearing the garden of all the foil and nails. A number of years later, after watching many hours of interesting finds on YouTube, and looking for a way to help with depression and anxiety, Josh decided to buy the CTX 3030 that he continues to use alongside the XP Deus. 

WHEN IT STARTED

The first livestreams started on Reddit back in July 2020. After a lot of interest and support on Reddit, the PoshJosh1999 Twitch channel was launched a month later, in August.

Josh has played lawn bowls since the age of 9. 

He regularly represents Gloucestershire at the National Championships held at Leamington Spa.
